Mark, Got the windshield Monday. It fit perfectly. At the lowest setting, I would say the protection is very good, not
much noise in my helmet, and I can ride with my faceshield raised with no discomfort. With my face shield raised,
the helmet noise goes away, so I attribute most of the noise to my helmet, not the windshield. I rode against the
wind, and with the wind and I am impressed with the protection the shield affords in the low position.
The space between the top of the headlight and the bottom of the shield lets in a fair amount of air, but you can
only feel it with your hand back to about a foot or so from the shield. I don't feel much if any turbulence or
pressure on my chest when the shield is in the low position. It seems to provide a little protection on my arms and
shoulders. Seems like my arms are just at the edge of the wind blast.
Next I put the windshield in the highest mounting position. In this position, I am looking though the top of the
shield all of the time. This doesn't bother me especially, because the shield is clear, and there is no distortion.
When in the highest position, I am VERY impressed with the protection and quiet the windshield provides. Even when
riding into a 35 mph headwind, I can raise the face shield on my helmet and be in total comfort. In this position,
I think this shield is as quiet and comfortable as the Calsci shield on my Concours 1400. For long trips on the
highway or winter riding like we have around here, this is the answer.

I have tried many combinations of windshields on my 09 V: mid-size OEM shield; same shield plus laminar lip up high; Givi D405ST
touring shield; and MikeShields GT. So far, the MikeShield GT was the best. I get some turbulence, which I think is coming from the
curvature at the top of the shield which is like the laminar lip.
A few weeks ago, I read about the CalSci windscreens which are designed from an aerodynamic viewpoint. This was interesting,
and they also had a touring windscreen for the 2010 V which others are only promising. So, I ordered and just received the new
windscreen. A very nice windshield. I installed and ran it today on my 2010 V. The CalSci windscreen, is the best I've had; better
than all other combinations I've tried on the 09 V. Turbulence is essentially gone. I get a little breeze, which helps in this hot
WV weather. This shield is so good on the 10 V, that I called this evening and ordered the same model for my 09 V. Mark at CalSci
was very helpful. By the end of the conversation, they had packaged my shield for shipping this evening or first thing tomorrow.
Great service.
